We aim to achieve several targets in the upcoming months and years. You can read more about that in the Objectives section. The main idea is to promote the IB in Brazil, increase communication between schools and provide more professional development opportunities to our staff.

Maths job alike session - At St Paul's School on the 23rd November 2016
On the 23rd of November, The Brazilian Association of IB Schools organized a Maths job alike session for all Maths teachers. 11 IB Diploma Schools ( St Paul`s School, Graded School, Escola Suiço-Brasileira de Curitiba, Miguel de Cervantes, Beit Yaacov, St Francis College, Escola Suiço-Brasileira de São Paulo, St Nicholas School, Chapel School, Pueri Domus and the International School of Curitiba via skype) sent representatives to the session. A total of 26 teachers participated, and the sessions were facilitated by David Bryan (HL), Mike Sanderson (Standard SL) and Francisco Schreiber and Bethan Hindley (Studies SL), all teachers from St Paul`s School.
The feedback received from the participants was very positive and the exchange of ideas will definitely continue.

PE Encounter Brazilian Association IB Schools - At St Francis College on the 8th November 2016
On the 8th of November, The Brazilian Association of IB Schools held an encounter for PYP and MYP Physical and Health Education Teachers. Five IB school (Beacon School, Biet Yacoov, Esfera Escola Internacional, St Nicholas School and St Francis School) sent representatives to encounter. A total of 23 teachers, led by Mr Alvaro Caselli shared their experiences and ideas " Addressing conceptual understandings in PE through structured thinking routines.
Teachers agreed that this was a positive meeting and we hope it is the first of many to come.

IB Coordinators job alike session and Presentation of the IB Programme to Brazilian Universities - At Graded School on the 6th September 2016
This event took place at Graded school and was extremely successful. The IB coordinators job alike session was a great opportunity to discuss issues faced by all coordinators and plan ways to target needs that can be addressed by the IB Association, such as training and other job alike sessions.
The presentation of the IB Programme to Brazilian Universities was another successful event. With the presence of several important Brazilian Universities: FGV Administração and Economia, PUC, ESPM, FIA, FAAP and IBMEC, the presentation from Mr Amaral Cunha, IB coordinator from Graded, was followed by a Q&A session and opened a fantastic channel of communication between IB schools and the Universities, with the aim of establishing the IB as an entrance exam for IB pupils into these prestigious Universities.
Association meeting 2 - At St Francis College on the 19th May 2016
After 3 years without progress, schools have met again on May 19th, 2016 to discuss the idea of taking the Association forward. It was necessary to change the members of the Board Committe and it was decided in agreement with all the schools present that the new members and corresponding positions are:

Vice Chairperson: Nick Thody - St Nicholas School
Treasurer: Ana Carolina Belmonte - St Paul's School
Communication person: Andrés Suarez - St Francis College
Association meeting 1 - At St Francis College on the 30th April 2013
The meeting held on April 30th 2013 had all members of the Association present and has made great progress in establishing the Association in Brazil. The Constitution was discussed and the changes have been made. Also, all the members of the Committee have been elected:

IBO mission statement:
